This Week in Twin Cities Live Music: November 3 – November 9
Early November is proof the Twin Cities never really slows down. This week runs from an outlaw-country opener on Tuesday to a blockbuster Sunday at the Armory, with a doom-metal landmark, hip-hop pioneers, Grammy-winning songwriters, global pop, and a gospel institution packed in between. Here are the nights worth building a plan around; for everything else, browse the full Twin Cities calendar.
Tuesday, November 3
The week opens wide. Masked outlaw-country star Orville Peck brings his Man Turned Mule Tour to The Armory, while acoustic-guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela turn the Fitzgerald Theater into a flamenco-metal firestorm. Radio staple Edwin McCain settles in for an intimate set at the Dakota Jazz Club, and if you want your Tuesday young and loud, indie upstarts Post Sex Nachos pack the 7th Street Entry.
Wednesday, November 4
Midweek goes heavy and historic. Doom-metal godfathers Sleep bring their tectonic riffs to First Avenue, and hip-hop pioneers Arrested Development play the Dakota Jazz Club — two very different kinds of legend on the same night. For something smaller and stranger, cult favorite Weatherday hits the 7th Street Entry.
Thursday, November 5
Thursday leans toward songwriters. Alt-rock mainstays Better Than Ezra bring their Legends of the Fall run to the Varsity Theater, while Grammy-winning folk storyteller Mary Gauthier plays The Reckoning Tour with Jaimee Harris at the Parkway Theater. Chicago indie-rock up-and-comers Ax and the Hatchetmen fill First Avenue for the younger crowd.
Friday, November 6
Friday is the deepest night of the week. Indie-rock elder statesman Bill Callahan plays a rare, hushed set at the Cedar Cultural Center with Rick Maguire of Pile, and Austin punk firebrands Die Spitz tear up First Avenue. For a change of register, the Minnesota Orchestra performs Sibelius at Orchestra Hall, and folk singer Heather Mae brings a warm, big-hearted show to the Hook & Ladder Theater with Mother Banjo.
Saturday, November 7
Saturday is the busiest — and biggest — night on the board. Global pop sensation KATSEYE bring The Wildworld Tour to Target Center, and hometown hero PROF throws The Return Home at The Armory, always one of the loudest local nights of the year. Singer-songwriter Joy Oladokun headlines the Palace Theatre, R&B great Kem plays Mystic Lake Casino, and metalheads get a double bill of Arch Enemy and The Black Dahlia Murder at The Fillmore.
Sunday, November 8
Sunday belongs to one show above all: Jack White brings his Live 2026 tour to The Armory, the can't-miss ticket of the week. Elsewhere, soul-and-roots duo The War and Treaty play First Avenue, and British singer-songwriter Teddy Thompson brings a quieter evening to the Cedar Cultural Center with Jenna Nicholls.
Monday, November 9
The week closes on a high note — literally. Gospel institution the Blind Boys of Alabama perform Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life at the Dakota Jazz Club, blues guitarist Davy Knowles plays the Hook & Ladder Theater, and the Roe Family Singers keep their beloved old-time Monday residency going at the 331 Club.
